Currently being tested at about twenty Franprix

and Carrefour supermarkets in Paris and the

surrounding area, Vinted lockers are available for

customers to drop off or collect their purchases

from the online second-hand platform. All they

need to unlock their specific locker is a code

sent by email. Convenient for consumers, these

lockers could reduce the environmental impact

of deliveries.

After helping us empty our wardrobes, Vinted is now

installing its own storage facilities in the supermarkets

we visit every day. The intention is commendable.

By grouping deliveries and returns together

we could reduce distances travelled . And another

ambition is to embed second-hand shopping as

a regular habit. Tomorrow, there could be networks

of lockers in every town in addition to the networks

of supermarkets and stores, releasing them from the
