How does self-managed collection work?

This is one of our two collection schemes offered by Refashion.

With a self-managed scheme, you choose your own:

  • Service providers from the list of Refashion approved collectors;
  • Operational procedure: types of container, supports, communication methods, etc.;
  • Geographical scope: you can opt for national or regional coverage depending on the operator selected.

In short, you choose everything from A to Z and cover all potential costs.

The scheme also complies with Refashion’s requirements.

 Consumers are able to drop off clothing, household linen and footwear in the same container, regardless of condition or brand

It doesn’t matter if items are torn, damaged or have holes: nothing is thrown away, everything is collected !

Advantages of the self-managed scheme

The self-managed scheme offers a number of advantages:

National coverage

set up collection points across the country with a network of approved collectors.

A self-managed solution

organise your collection strategy to suit your requirements and ambitions.

A means of differentiation

develop collection points that reflect your identity. This way you reinforce your brand image.

Greater visibility

your collection points appear on the Refashion map, viewed by thousands of consumers who are looking for a local drop-off point in France.

In addition, you gain:

  • More traffic: your collection points are marked on the shopping route.
  • An image as an engaged and responsible brand, taking practical steps to develop circular economy.

At the same time, Refashion provides financial support for sorting operators, based on the collected volumes.

This type of scheme is right for you if you want to make an active contribution while overseeing the entire collection process.
