For this 14th edition, Refashion wanted to receive innovative projects with a technological maturity level (TRL) of between 1 and 6, dealing with at least one of the following strategic areas:
-
Ecodesign of textiles and footwear with a view to increasing their useful life (physical durability, reparability) and/or recyclability
-
Innovative automated sorting solution and/or preparation for recycling of used textiles or footwear
-
Innovative solutions for recycling non-reusable used textiles or footwear and/or incorporating recycled materials into industrial solutions.

All our winners
Canoe
High-value recycling and revalorization of non-reusable used acrylic textiles into carbon fibers through dissolution, filtration, coagulation spinning, and carbonization.

Muovi
Thermomechanical recycling of various feedstocks of non-reusable polyester textile waste, characterization of the resulting recycled materials, and evaluation of their potential applications.

Idelam
Study of the delamination of non-reusable used shoes using the IDELAM process, focusing on the recyclability of delaminated materials and the optimization of the process in preparation for the upcoming industrialization of the technology.

Plas'tri
Development of a new method to identify the material composition of non-reusable used black TLCs and multilayer textiles.

Re-fresh Global
Use of an innovative biotechnological process for separating natural fibers from synthetic fibers in post-consumer textile waste, achieving a high conversion rate in a reproducible model.

Syntetica
Aims to selectively break down polyamide at low temperatures while leaving other materials, such as elastane and cotton, intact in their original form.
