Material sorting & preprocessing and Recycling Experiments

Refashion regularly organises experiments in Material sorting & preprocessing and Recycling involving the industry players registered on its Recycle platform. Experiments involve advanced sorting and preprocessing for the recycling of post-consumer non-reusable textiles and footwear, based on recyclers' specifications.

The aim is to accelerate the development and deployment of industrial solutions for material preprocessing and recycling, in response to the practical needs expressed by recycling processors. These experiments contribute to establishing priorities in industrial recycling in France and Europe.

Scope of the experiments

For sorting and material preprocessing operators

  • Advanced sorting and material preprocessing
  • Quality control
  • Shipment of preprocessed materials to the recycling processor

For recycling processors

  • Quality control of incoming material
  • Recycling trials, if applicable
