Two complementary programmes to develop the second-hand sector.
Refashion's Reuse and Repurposing Fund is exclusively reserved for players in the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE). It consists of two distinct programmes, each with its own goals and processes
Support for traceability
What is the purpose of this programme?
This programme funds the acquisition and deployment of tools, systems and resources enabling SSE players to accurately measure and trace the volumes of textiles and footwear collected and reused.
Who is eligible?
- SSE reuse and repurposing organisations with a SIRET business identification number or SSE umbrella organisations.
- Structures processing over one tonne of incoming CHF for reuse.
How does it work?
Support is calculated using a flat-rate scale based on incoming and traced tonnages of CHF for reuse. The larger the volumes traced, the higher the support funding.

Calls for expressions of interest (CEI)
What is the purpose of this programme?
CEIs fund practical projects to develop the second-hand sector. This action- and investment-oriented programme aims to develop the capacity of second-hand structures.
Who is eligible?
- Members and affiliates of SSE umbrella organisationsworking in this sector.
- Independent organisations can apply for the CEI organised by the federation ESS France. France.
- The amount allocated to each umbrella organisation is proportional to the estimated incoming tonnages for reusedeclared each year
What types of projects are funded?
CEIs can fund five types of initiative:
- Reconditioning for the second-hand market (cleaning, stain removal, repair) & upcycling
- Sales increase (sales strategy, online reselling, layout improvements in sales points, pop-up/mobile shops (vans, etc.)
- Training (merchandising, reconditioning and resale of second-hand items)
- Education - initiatives to raise awareness around the second-hand sector
- Investment to create new structures based on existing expertise
How can I get involved?
CEIs are issued by SSE umbrella organisations. Entities should contact their own organisation in order to get information on:
- Launch dates
- Application procedures
- Specific criteria
