Financing of complementary actions: Refashion Reuse Calls for Projects
What are second-hand Calls for Projects?
The second-hand Calls for Projects aim to support textile industry stakeholders in developing innovative and structuring projects to improve second-hand performance and develop desirable and local second-hand solutions. This scheme has evolved over the various editions to meet the sector’s needs and is open to all eligible stakeholders in the industry.
2026 edition: Second-hand Call for Projects
Application period: 14 April to 24 May 2026
Refashion is launching the Second-hand Call for Projects for the 4th time, confirming its long-term commitment to reuse. This Call for Projects has several objectives:
- Finance concrete initiatives to support the reuse of Clothing, Household linen and Footwear (CHF) in France,
- Optimize and streamline second-hand channels,
- Increase volumes by enhancing the attractiveness of the second-hand offer,
- Encourage scaling up and cooperation between stakeholders.
2023 edition: Second-hand Call for Projects
Refashion’s first Reuse Call for Projects, focused exclusively on the reconditioning of used CHF (cleaning, stain removal, repair) through two project formats: Seed funding up to €20,000 and Development up to €200,000.
Objectives:
- Increase locally reused and reutilised volumes through reconditioning actions
- Give stakeholders the means to define reconditioning as a priority in order to develop high-quality reuse and reutilisation
2024 edition: Reconditioning Challenge
The Reconditioning Challenge pursues a threefold mission through three project formats: Seed funding up to €20,000, Development up to €200,000 and Industrialization up to €2,000,000.
Objectives:
- Extend the life span of items by implementing reconditioning actions: sanitization, cleaning, stain removal and repair
- Develop locally reused and reutilised volumes
- Give stakeholders the means to improve the quality of the items offered in order to develop citizens’ trust in second-hand products
2025 edition: Reuse Call for Projects
Refashion Reuse Call for Projects with a new format and several funding areas:
- Reconditioning actions for collected used textiles and shoes
- The development of collective protective storage solutions
- Actions related to the digital sale of collected used textiles and shoes
- Territorial cooperation engineering actions and the implementation of collective projects to develop a local reuse offer
