Innovation Challenge: Supporting the Textile Recycling Revolution

More than €5.6 million has been invested since 2010 to develop circular solutions and foster the growth of a 100% sustainable textile industry

Since 2010, Refashion has been investing in and supporting innovative projects through the Innovation Challenge.

As part of this call for projects, the eco-organization has committed more than €5.6 million to co-finance 60 ambitious projects aimed at optimizing the recycling of used textiles and shoes that cannot be reused.

The goal of the Innovation Challenge is to address recycling challenges in order to build a 100% circular textile industry, and to do so:

  • Identify and scale up innovative solutions that optimize the recycling of non-reusable used textiles and shoes from household consumption in France
  • Accelerate the development of a circular industry within the textile sector (clothing, home textiles, footwear) or in synergy with other sectors (construction, automotive, etc.).
