Winners of the 2023 Innovation Challenge

Since 2010, Refashion has been investing in and supporting innovative projects through the Innovation Challenge. The eco-organisation has committed more than €5.6 million to co-finance 60 ambitious projects to optimise the recycling of non-reusable used textiles and footwear under this call for projects.

The aim of the Innovation Challenge is to meet the challenges of recycling in order to build a 100% circular textile industry:

  • Finding and consolidating innovative solutions to optimise the recycling of non-reusable used textiles and footwear from household consumption in France

  • Accelerate the development of a circular industry in the textile sector (clothing, household linen, footwear) or in synergy with other sectors (construction, automotive, etc.).

For the 2023 edition of the Innovation Challenge, Refashion has teamed up with (RE)SET to help new solutions emerge, at technological maturity levels (TRL) between 1 and 4, corresponding to the early stages of research and development.
