The 2nd edition of the Recycle Summit, the key event for recycling stakeholders
Following a first edition that laid the foundations for collective momentum around the recycling of textiles and footwear, the Recycle Summit is back.
On March 31, we brought together around one hundred participants with a shared objective: to develop concrete industrial outlets and accelerate the incorporation of recycled materials, both in closed loop and open loop systems.
Introduced by François Farion – Design Director at Renault Group and hosted by David Ascher - Actu Environnement, The Recycle Summit once again provided a dedicated forum for discussion between brands, manufacturers, recyclers and project initiators.

Industrial solutions transforming the recycling of textiles and footwear
The morning was dedicated to a series of 10 pitches, during which innovative companies presented their solutions for recycling textiles and footwear and incorporating recycled materials into new products.
These presentations highlighted the diversity and growing maturity of the solutions available.
The sequence was also enriched by testimonials from companies involved in Refashion’s Recycled Material Incorporation (IMR) trials.
Presented in recycling operator-brand and weaver-brand pairs, these lessons learned provided concrete evidence: incorporating recycled materials into finished products is possible, reproducible and can be structured. Each project illustrated how trust between stakeholders is built on the ground, by jointly testing material performance, removing economic and organisational barriers, and making experimentation a stepping stone towards industrialisation.
An afternoon dedicated to collaboration
The afternoon was dedicated to B2B meeting sessions between participants. The aim is to enable each stakeholder to meet the right contacts, generate concrete collaboration opportunities and identify operational synergies.
To stay connected to the industrial network for textiles and footwear recycling, Refashion’s Recycle platform is available to help you find information, engage with others and identify suitable solutions.
