Faurecia Sièges d'Automobile, affiliated with the Forvia group and based in Nanterre, is a world leader in sustainable mobility technologies and innovative automotive solutions. As a member of Forvia's Seating Business Group, Faurecia specialises in the design and manufacturing of innovative and comfortable automotive seats, through its Tech Center in Brières.

The project relies complementary expertise of CEA LITEN is a research institute dedicated to the energy transition, based in Grenoble.

Project objectives

The RePET project, led by FAURECIA SIEGES D'AUTOMOBILE, aims to study the decolouration and characterisation of recycled polyester (rPET) derived from the chemical recycling process codeveloped with its partner, CEA Liten, applied to non-reusable multilayer polyester textiles from the REP TLC sector, with a view to reaching TRL 4.
