Penalties related to recyclability
Since 1 January 2025, penalties have been introduced. Refashion therefore penalises products whose recycling poses a hazard and/or a significant environmental impact.
This is a mandatory requirement with which every party placing products on the market must comply.
The two penalties apply to products containing:
- metalloplastic fibres
- electronic and/or electrical components in textiles, household linen and footwear (excluding information or traceability devices such as RFID).
